New Era Academy of Drama and Music (London), established in 1941, is one of the leading awarding bodies for Speech and Drama exams in the UK. It is fully regulated across all the disciplines and grades by Ofqual. NEA is recognized as a quality Examination Board by highly reputable patrons such as the late Sir Roger Moore (KBE), Bill Kenwright (CBE), Ray Cooney (OBE), Ray Winstone, Ronald Marsh (DFC) and Jenny Seagrove. Kim Ismay, who was on a world tour with ‘Wicked’ to Hong Kong in 2017 is also a Director and Fellow of NEA.

The CEO of NEA, Derren Nesbitt, is a reputable actor and director. He graduated from RADA winning all the highest Acting Awards and has been in numerous movies and TV productions.

The ethos of the New Era Academy is students should enjoy and look forward to improving their communication skills. By creating a comfortable environment, students are able to perform their best in their examinations.

NEA was launched in Hong Kong in 2014. Since then, examinations have been conducted in speech and drama centers and schools throughout HK.
